2015 — A solo web designer
Dmitri began designing and building websites as a freelancer, working with small businesses he found through local listings and online forums. The craft that would become Icebreaker started here.
2017 — Top‑Rated Specialist on Upwork
After two years and dozens of small‑business projects, Upwork recognized Dmitri as a Top‑Rated Web Design Specialist - with top 1% rating on the platform.
2019 — First team, first office
Growing demand led to the first office and the first four hires — the earliest form of the agency, focused on WordPress design and development.
2022 — Going global
Having worked from 30+ countries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, Dmitri made remote work the model. Icebreaker became a fully remote agency with team members in 6 countries and 100 clients across 10+ countries.
2023 — Recognition and momentum
Icebreaker earned multiple industry recognitions from leading web design and marketing platforms (incl. Clutch and Upwork), and crossed 15 employees and 150 clients with 100% satisfaction rate.
2025 — Beyond design and development
Icebreaker expanded into SEO and digital marketing — helping clients win not just better websites, but visibility, traffic, leads, and long‑term growth. The agency crossed 300 customers with 98% satisfaction rate.
January 2026 — Roman joins as co‑founder
Roman came on as co‑founder, bringing 7 years in the US market as an operator at multi‑billion‑dollar companies and an investor and executive across multiple startups. He splits his time between New York City and Vilnius, Lithuania.
